Welcome to Solarize Seattle: Northwest
Bringing the Power of Solar to your Neighborhood
If you live in Northwest Seattle and have been thinking about installing a solar system on your home or small business, this program is for you! Solarize Seattle: Northwest offers an exciting solar group purchase program for residents of Northwest Seattle (98103, 98107, 98117, 98133, and 98177 zip codes within City of Seattle). To launch the program, Northwest SEED has teamed up with Seattle City Light and a coalition of Northwest Seattle community groups, including Phinney Neighborhood Association, Sustainable Greenwood-Phinney, Sustainable Ballard, Sustainable Wallingford, Sustainable Seattle, Phinney Ridge Community Council, Greenwood Community Council, Wallingford Community Council, Fremont Neighborhood Council, and Green Lake Community Council. The best part -- the program is easy to understand and easy to participate in. Here's how it works:
1. Register
Beginning in January 16th, register in our system so we can keep you up to date on workshops and schedule individual site assessments. Registration closes Earth Day, April 22, 2013.
2. Attend a workshop
Attend a free Solarize Seattle: Northwest workshop to learn about solar energy and this limited time opportunity. Workshop attendance will put you on the fast track to receive a free site assessment.
3. Get evaluated
Once you've attended a workshop, you're eligible to receive a free site assessment from the competitively selected installation team: Puget Sound Solar/Artisan Electric. The installation team will come to evaluate your home for solar and work with you to determine the best system for your needs and budget.
4. Sign your contract
Decide whether you want to install solar on your home and sign your contract with Puget Sound Solar/Artisan Electric. Until this point, you're under no obligation to go solar.
5. Get solarized!
Join the Solarize Washington movement! Once your contract is signed, the installation team will work with you to schedule your discounted solar installation.
